Therapeutic Massage
What is Therapeutic Massage?
Therapeutic Massage is a mixed modality massage where the therapist checks in with the client verbally and through the process of listening to the body at the beginning of each session to provide a tailored-therapeutic massage experience unique for the client meeting their physical, emotional and spiritual needs for that day.
As an Integrative Therapist, Lindsay is passionate about many modalities that help the body return to homeostasis where healing can be experienced. These modalities include: Intuitive Touch, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Full Chest-Breast-Belly Therapy, Cupping, Swedish Massage, Acupressure, Reflexology, Essential Oils, Hot Stones, Hot Towels, Tuning Forks, Reiki, Polarity Therapy, CranioSacral Techniques, Breast Mobilization, Visceral Organ Therapy. Lindsay is versed in many forms of treatment and utilizes a mixture of these modalities after listening to her client's needs to provide therapeutic healing.

Polarity Therapy
A form of hands-on energy therapy based in ancient wisdom from Hermeticism, Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine, created by Dr. Randolf Stone, correcting energy imbalances, disturbances, or blockages in the body that result in dis-ease.

CranioSacral Therapy
Pioneered and developed by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger, CST, is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of the physiological body, using a soft touch to release restrictions in the craniosacral system.

Cupping
Discovered in Eber’s papyrus (1550 B.C.) from Ancient Egypt, Cupping is an alternative therapy that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. This suction is thought to improve the flow of energy in the body and facilitate healing by bringing rich oxygenated blood to the fascia.

Acupressure
Similar to Acupuncture, Acupressure encourages the movement of qi ("life energy") through the 14 channels (meridians) inside the body. Instead of using needles to move Qi, the practitioner uses their fingers, palms, elbows or special devices to apply pressure to the acupoints to help return flow.

Thermo (HEAT) Therapy
A noninvasive technique -the application of heat during massage therapy- heat therapy is used to increase blood and oxygen flow, and addresses pain and other health issues.

Reflexology
The physical act of applying pressure with hand specific techniques to reflexes in the feet that correspond to other parts of the body. Reflexology works by restoring balance.

NeuroMuscular Therapy
A form of soft tissue massage that aims to alleviate chronic muscle and nervous system disorders and problems, fixing trigger points, circulation, nerve compression, postural problems and repetitive movement injuries.

Tuning Forks
A very gentle, yet powerful modality to treat the body and mind and restore inner balance and health. It works with the nervous system, the tissues and the more subtle energies of the body. It is deeply relaxing and restoring and can offer long-term benefits.
